Summary

Colin Novak is the big man on campus。 Huge—if the rumors are to be believed。 Nearly every girl at Davidson University has had a ride on him 。 。 。 everyone, except me。

Which is fine。 This frat boy may be irritatingly hot, all carved muscle with a deceptively wholesome smile, but that’s irrelevant。 He’s a Sig。

When I catch his fraternity cheating at the Greek Week tournament, he denies it—causing our rivalry between houses to escalate。 Colin and I may have started the mud fight, but it grows into an all-out war, and ends with us expelled from our houses。

Now I’m homeless and it’s all his fault。

So, while answering an ad for a leading role at an adult film company wasn’t part of my career path, the work comes with a lot of perks。 Steady salary。 Accommodations close to campus。 A safe place to explore my fantasies。

Except when I show up for my audition, my partner is none other than my new archenemy—Colin。 And our sexual chemistry is explosive。

We hate how attracted we are to each other, and I despise that I want every scene to be with him。 Because the longer we live together, the more I see he’s not who I thought he was。

This frat boy was so easy to hate 。 。 。 but what if he’s even easier to love?

I’m SO sorry I didn’t read the synopsis of this book。 I didn’t like it one bit。 College students doing porn movies to pay for school? I don’t know if I’m too old school but this felt like a porn book。。 I skimmed through the end just to know if they ended up together。 I don’t want this to be my last read of 2022!!

Madison and Colin's chemistry was incredible, that was the part that I enjoyed the most about this book。 The HOA and fraternity part of the story kinda bored me tho。 Madison and Colin's chemistry was incredible, that was the part that I enjoyed the most about this book。 The HOA and fraternity part of the story kinda bored me tho。 。。。more

I think this book fails for me in the same way all of this author’s “poly” or “open” relationship books fail。 The characters’ reactions, thoughts, feelings just aren’t believable。 Like, EVER。 They are almost eye-roll worthy。 Total porn (no pun intended;) and 2 stars for that。

I feel like I should say that if you like no strings attached spice, this book isn’t bad。 It’s out of purely personal preference that I give this 2 stars。 Others will like it more I’m sure。

THE FRAT BOY is filled with great steamy content like every other book by Nikki Sloane。 While it wasn't my favorite or hottest book in this series (THE ARCHITECT holds the title in both categories), I thoroughly enjoyed it。 Just like I knew I would。 My rankings for the Nashville Neighborhood series:1。 The Architect2。 The Doctor3。 The Frat Boy4。 The Pool Boy THE FRAT BOY is filled with great steamy content like every other book by Nikki Sloane。 While it wasn't my favorite or hottest book in this series (THE ARCHITECT holds the title in both categories), I thoroughly enjoyed it。 Just like I knew I would。 My rankings for the Nashville Neighborhood series:1。 The Architect2。 The Doctor3。 The Frat Boy4。 The Pool Boy 。。。more

2。7 starsI was hooked in with enemies to lovers forced to have sex when they hate each other that’s a big turn on for me。 I love hate sex。 However what was not a turn on was the multiple partners and both the FMC and especially the MMC being okay with each other sleeping with other people。 I don’t like when the MMC shares their women with other men and I don’t like watching the MMC with other women。 So obviously this book is gonna have that being about two porn stars so really I set my own self 2。7 starsI was hooked in with enemies to lovers forced to have sex when they hate each other that’s a big turn on for me。 I love hate sex。 However what was not a turn on was the multiple partners and both the FMC and especially the MMC being okay with each other sleeping with other people。 I don’t like when the MMC shares their women with other men and I don’t like watching the MMC with other women。 So obviously this book is gonna have that being about two porn stars so really I set my own self up for failure。 I ordered a mushroom steak knowing I don’t like mushrooms or steak。 So the fault is on me。Also again this book is literally called “the frat boy” so tell me why I took issue when the MMC was such a stereotypical frat boy。 The mans whole trauma is that his Mommy and Daddy caught him fucking some chick in their bee and he has essentially been on a strict tight leash with his rich parents since then。 And like cry me a river, that’s the most frat boy like trauma ever。 Totally not my type of MMC。I don’t know why I continued reading this I guess I was just too fascinated and interested in the dynamic to stop。 It wasn’t bad just not my cup of tea。 。。。more

I've read all 4 books in this series and this is by far the best。 I picked this book up and had in finished in an afternoon。 I couldn't put it down。 Nikki Sloane was a new author to me this year and is definitely becoming a favorite。 I've read all 4 books in this series and this is by far the best。 I picked this book up and had in finished in an afternoon。 I couldn't put it down。 Nikki Sloane was a new author to me this year and is definitely becoming a favorite。 。。。more

I LOVED THIS。 This was SO much fun to read。 Two college students who hate each other get kicked out from their fraternity/sorority and end up finding a new job/place with。。。 a porn company。 So we have two up-and-coming porn stars living with FOUR other seasoned adult performers, and as you can guess, things heat up。 I loved the hate and tension between Madison and Colin – they get wild and dirty and I just had the best time reading their romance。 I mean, this book deserves 5 stars alone for maki I LOVED THIS。 This was SO much fun to read。 Two college students who hate each other get kicked out from their fraternity/sorority and end up finding a new job/place with。。。 a porn company。 So we have two up-and-coming porn stars living with FOUR other seasoned adult performers, and as you can guess, things heat up。 I loved the hate and tension between Madison and Colin – they get wild and dirty and I just had the best time reading their romance。 I mean, this book deserves 5 stars alone for making me love a frat boy lol。 This is now my favorite of the Nashville Neighborhood series! 。。。more

I went into this book partially blind and thought that I would be able to predict the plot and what the book was about…boy was i wrong。I LOVED the whole “adult film” aspect to this story and I loved the enemies to lovers trope that took place。 I totally did not see the “adult film” topic coming into play especially in this series but no complaints from me about that。I didn’t really feel a strong connection between Madison and Collin at first, but as I continued to read on, I definitely felt it - I went into this book partially blind and thought that I would be able to predict the plot and what the book was about…boy was i wrong。I LOVED the whole “adult film” aspect to this story and I loved the enemies to lovers trope that took place。 I totally did not see the “adult film” topic coming into play especially in this series but no complaints from me about that。I didn’t really feel a strong connection between Madison and Collin at first, but as I continued to read on, I definitely felt it - especially in the sex department。If you’re looking for a good book with very steamy sex, enemies to lovers trope with college/sorority drama。。this is the book for you。 。。。more

this was fine- very hot but tbh the SW rep didn't feel great to me, and him being a frat boy felt lowkey inconsequential to the majority of the plot? or at least like one of the less important bits, and imo ithe title would be a turnoff to a lot of ppl bc frat boys are。。。a whole lot。 so that was kinda funny to meI also had weird feelings about queer people in this book— like is Madison queer? she has sex with women, which。。。pretty gay, but also there's never any comment? no internal dialogue abo this was fine- very hot but tbh the SW rep didn't feel great to me, and him being a frat boy felt lowkey inconsequential to the majority of the plot? or at least like one of the less important bits, and imo ithe title would be a turnoff to a lot of ppl bc frat boys are。。。a whole lot。 so that was kinda funny to meI also had weird feelings about queer people in this book— like is Madison queer? she has sex with women, which。。。pretty gay, but also there's never any comment? no internal dialogue about knowing she's bisexual, no "i want to have sex with women, that probably means i'm gay" and。。。。idk it just added to this feeling that it was more of a str8 person fantasy than queer women having sex。 but like, women having sex is gay???? idk so many feelings。 anyways hot but left me feeling pretty meh 。。。more

I think that three things should be ok with you before you read this book:1。 You are in the mood for more smut than development。2。 You are okay with sharing (main couple)。3。 You accept that this is a parallel universe in which not only do people have a healthy view of porn from the execution but the reception (in most cases) of sex workers is rational and without prejudice。I'm not criticizing this world, I wish we lived in an open-minded and sex-positive world in which the porn industry wasn't r I think that three things should be ok with you before you read this book:1。 You are in the mood for more smut than development。2。 You are okay with sharing (main couple)。3。 You accept that this is a parallel universe in which not only do people have a healthy view of porn from the execution but the reception (in most cases) of sex workers is rational and without prejudice。I'm not criticizing this world, I wish we lived in an open-minded and sex-positive world in which the porn industry wasn't responsible for so many wrong lessons, red alerts, and problems。 Yet I have to say that I expected until the last pages that the bad side of porn was discussed because it is the reality。 Not only that but the bias towards sex workers。Porn culture perpetrates many unhealthy stereotypes, and although I loved that in this book we get a side of porn that is still small but growing, not focused on the male gaze, where everybody should have pleasure and people are respected。 On the other hand, I wished that someone said: hey look the bad side exists too, and here in the book we have the good exception and not the rule。The Frat Boy lacks showing some complexity about this world of sex workers and porn。 It isn't always cozy with butterflies and rainbows and most people would have trash reactions, so despite some events that happened and demonstrated that everything isn't peachy and people judge and are awful, they didn't have much impact in the big scheme of things or in the character's lives (like being a porn star or the people close to you who wouldn't accept), those situations of the drama seemed of little consequence。Yeah, you must be thinking。。。this is a book to entertain why are you bringing up such heavy subjects? I don't know, even in my fun and hot reads I like some good old reflection of the duality of the scenario。 So I took one star because I was okay with other moments of suspension of disbelief but not this one, sometimes they felt they weren't doing a job just high on hornyness and hormones, also the convenient times, lack of description about the main characters physical traits and the antagonist being a bit one-dimensional made this book, not a five star to me。 I also really hated the troubling premise of the "contract" Madison and Colin made with the adult entertainment production - this paragraph and the next two will get a little spoilery。 After all, they were desperate to find a new home and some relief from the predicament they were in, so basically if they did four videos a month rent was paid (as in they lived with their bosses and didn't need to pay with money the rent only sex videos, so if they made more videos than they would keep the money for other things)。 I don't know but this doesn't sit well with me, it seems like some kind of taking advantage even if they are adults and "chose" this, as one of them asked。。。was it really choosing? If you don't have an option per se。 So because of that I didn't like Scott and Nina much and didn't think of them as that good or some kind of family。 One thing was Mads and Colin being paid for the videos and with that money being able to afford basic needs like a home, food, etcetera, and another thing was the two of them working to have a roof on their heads for four videos a month, it's exploitive。 What made me not take another star from this book was that during the plot progression the main message ran towards self-discovery, freedom, lack of prejudice, and choice。 About two people going beyond societal expectations, experimenting, and finding the autonomy to make decisions and to take responsibility for those decisions, they had another reason besides having a place to live to like the job, their erotic bucket list。 Anyway back to the good stuff, it was erotica with more sex than plot, but that didn't bother me first because I knew this book would be like that, and second, because the writing was great, the pace flowed really well and there was an atmosphere of thrill。 One of the things that got me a fan of this book was the lack of miscommunication, THANK YOU, AUTHOR。 Yeah, we have a big miscommunication in the beginning but that one made sense and propelled the plot, and it wasn't about stupidity but convincing lies that other people tell。 In later scenes, the author could have used this trope again, yet she didn't use it, what the reader got was communication in its best form being created, understanding, honesty, openness, and talk about boundaries and insecurities。 The overall plot although predictable was insanely compelling and the sex scenes were creative, with consent, pants combusting, and descriptive。 The dirty talk was deliciously filthy and there is some time since I read such scorching naughty quotes。 Also, it was like arriving at a sex library where you get MF, FF, FFM, MMF, and MFMF。 In resume it was a hot-as-hell rollercoaster that made me miss even the scenes that they talked about doing but didn't show on page, I wanted all that sex content lol and look we have a lot here。 The relationship between the main couple got me hooked and the chemistry between Madison and Colin was off the charts, here we have the good old enemies to lovers developing with communication, some good maturity, partnership, and fresh insights that made me cheer and absolutely like both of them。 Usually, I read RH or a polyamorous relationship of three in which everybody is committed so it was not only refreshing but a hot and bothered investigation of how would a relationship work between a couple that has a job to have sex with other people, and in this I think the author nailed the writing it felt real, it felt healthy and it felt emotional。 I also loved that they felt like their own person, with their own past, traumas, virtues, and faults。 The side characters didn't have much development but they were interesting enough, I liked the found family trope with the housemates so much that made me wish for a book about Abbie。 Another thing that was interesting: was the plot twist where the man has more consequences about being a porn star than the woman since in the real world it would be the opposite most of the times, but again suspension of disbelief。 。。。more

I really enjoy books (both fiction and non-fiction) that involve the adult film industry。 So I was excited to read this since it’s about Madison and Colin becoming porn stars after they’re kicked out of their sorority and fraternity。 The tension between the characters was excellent, they hate each other because of the fight that got them expelled from their Greek organizations, but they have amazing sexual chemistry when they film together。 One thing that this book really has going for it is the I really enjoy books (both fiction and non-fiction) that involve the adult film industry。 So I was excited to read this since it’s about Madison and Colin becoming porn stars after they’re kicked out of their sorority and fraternity。 The tension between the characters was excellent, they hate each other because of the fight that got them expelled from their Greek organizations, but they have amazing sexual chemistry when they film together。 One thing that this book really has going for it is the sex scenes。 There’s a bunch of different combinations of people as Madison and Colin work with the other models in the house。 It’s fun to see them working out how they’ll film their different scenes and the plots that they come up with for the videos。 However, I was hoping for a bit more in the way of seeing fan reactions to Madison and Colin。 I wanted to feel how popular their videos were getting and seeing how they dealt with that newfound fame。 But while there are a lot of scenes of them filming the porn, outside of that there wasn’t really much fan interaction shown。 Also, I was hoping that the guys would be bisexual like the women were, but that didn’t happen。 There were some nice sapphic scenes, but the men only interacted sexually with the women and not with one another。 Oh well lol。 For the first half of the book there’s very little in the way of plot and character development outside of the sex scenes。 Once they start working for the porn company and living in the house with the other porn stars it takes a long time before they have any contact with anyone outside of that circle。 It made that part of the story feel very disconnected from the rest of the plot。 Later, some interesting stuff happens with the other characters and ties the porn plot in with Madison and Colin’s life outside that house。 I also enjoyed how the characters looked at monogamy, having sex with other people for work, and figured out how they felt confident in their feelings and their relationship rather than just following a traditional path。 。。。more

2。5 stars ✿ ❛Colin let out a frustrated sigh and closed his eyes and the distance between us, only he brought our foreheads together and not our lips。 His skin pressed to mine, and his thumb brushed against my cheek。 It was just like when he’d picked me up and carried me to the bed。 This gesture was intimate and romantic。❜I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either。 It was nice and easy to read though it did get a bit slow and boring at times。 2。5 stars ✿ ❛Colin let out a frustrated sigh and closed his eyes and the distance between us, only he brought our foreheads together and not our lips。 His skin pressed to mine, and his thumb brushed against my cheek。 It was just like when he’d picked me up and carried me to the bed。 This gesture was intimate and romantic。❜I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either。 It was nice and easy to read though it did get a bit slow and boring at times。 。。。more

The smut was good。 Downright filthy。 But just not for me。 Idky but the idea of an open relationship doesn't sit right with me。 I guess it's just not for me tbh。 Polyamorous (RH) on the other hand? Yeah I dig that shit。 Not a huge fan of messing around with other people when you have feelings for someone else - even if it's just work/porn。 Overall, the writing was good though the plotline felt weak。 Pretty much skimmed the book towards the end, but it was still a decent read and hence the 3 stars The smut was good。 Downright filthy。 But just not for me。 Idky but the idea of an open relationship doesn't sit right with me。 I guess it's just not for me tbh。 Polyamorous (RH) on the other hand?
